Chef Jay Caputo
Chef Jay Caputo’s second-floor Tree Top Lounge strives for canopy cool through chunky beams and dramatic lighting. The heavy bar of marine-grade mahogany was hand-carved by a shipwright in Annapolis. Folks clamor for fresh mojitos and Kobe beef hot dogs, while lunch service and happy hour drives business during summer. -- Delaware Today Magazine
From the February 2010 "96 Favorites" story: Jay Caputo’s “other” restaurant is so much more, thanks to typically offbeat offerings that don’t stray too far from prevailing tastes: duck confit that’s crispy and tender, a risotto menu that’s delicious and fun, and—why not?—Kobe beef hot dogs. Just off Rehoboth’s main drag and voluminous foot traffic, Porcini’s lunch business is huge during summer. Folks can eat outdoors on relatively light fare and the rooftop deck is tricked out with stage lighting and a hefty mahogany bar.
If you want outside dining this is the place. Inexpensive, but wonderful food leaning toward Italian. Wonderful wine selection and we enjoyed being on the deck and enjoying the beautiful weather and great service. Check this place out! -- Michele, May 29 2011
